The Auto Vehicle Appraisers of Canada (AVAC) is a self-regulated association of professional vehicle appraisers
dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, accuracy, and professionalism. By joining AVAC, you
become part of a network that values trust, transparency, and consistency in every appraisal.
AVAC members are recognized by consumers, insurers, and legal professionals as trusted experts who provide
independent and defensible valuations. Membership demonstrates a commitment to professionalism and adherence
to national standards for vehicle appraisal practices.

Membership Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in vehicle appraisal or related field
- Submission of at least 2 sample appraisal reports for peer review
- Agreement to uphold the AVAC Code of Ethics and Professional Standards
- Completion of membership application and approval by the AVAC review committee
Once approved, members receive a unique AVAC Registration ID, confirming their certification and enabling
public verification through our registry. Annual membership renewals include continued compliance checks and
access to updated national standards documentation.
Applications are reviewed within 5–7 business days. Please ensure your sample reports are accurate and include
complete valuation documentation.
